What is MVCI?
MVCI stands for Mini Vehicle Communication Interface. It is a device that connects your vehicle's OBD-II port to your computer via USB. It allows you to perform diagnostics, programming, and customization on your Toyota, Lexus, or Scion vehicles using the Techstream software.
What is Techstream?
Techstream is the official software of Toyota Motor Corporation. It is used by dealers and technicians to diagnose and service Toyota, Lexus, and Scion vehicles. It supports various functions such as reading and clearing trouble codes, viewing live data, performing active tests, coding and programming modules, and customizing vehicle settings.
How to Install MVCI Driver for Toyota Cable 20115?
Before you install the MVCI driver, you need to download and install the Techstream software first. You can download the latest version of Techstream (V16.00.017) from [here]. You also need to download the MVCI driver for 64-bit system from [here]. After you download the files, follow these steps:
Extract the Techstream V16.00.017 folder and run Techstream_Setup_V16.00.017.exe to install the software.
Accept the license agreement and enter your user name and company name as 123.
Install .NET Framework 4.7.2 if prompted.
Extract the driver folder and run Driver MVCI x64.exe to install the driver.
Create a shortcut of MVCI MultiDriverX64 on your desktop and run it as administrator.
Select firmware version 1.4.8 and click Install.
Plug in your Mini VCI cable and wait for Windows to recognize it and load the drivers.
Go to Device Manager and update the drivers for M-VCI and USB Serial Port manually by browsing to the driver folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Autokent MVCI MultiDriver X64\1.4.8).
Make sure the COM Port is set to #4 in Device Manager.
How to Activate Techstream Software?
After you install the MVCI driver, you need to activate the Techstream software using a patch file. You can download the patch file for 64-bit system from [here]. After you download the file, follow these steps:
Run Techstream software from your desktop shortcut and select your region and language.
Enter your repair name, code, and phone as 1 and click OK.
If Techstream asks for an activation/registration key, press Cancel to exit.
Go to Setup -> VIM Selection and select interface as MVCI Autokent-X64 1.4.8.
Copy and paste Techstream Patch 64bit from the patch folder to your desktop and run it as administrator.
Select your vehicle information and click OK.
Congratulations! You have successfully installed and activated the MVCI driver for Toyota cable 20115 on Windows 10 64-bit system. You can now use Techstream software with your Mini VCI cable to diagnose and service your Toyota, Lexus, or Scion vehicles.
