To provide you with the core features of the Muvakkit application (Prayer times, Qibla compass, Nearby Mosques, etc.), we request the following permissions on your device:
Location Access (Including Background Location): We need your location to calculate accurate prayer times, determine the precise Qibla direction, and find mosques near you. We may use background location access to ensure prayer time alarms trigger accurately even when you are not actively using the app. This data is processed locally on your device for immediate calculations and is not stored on our servers.
Internet Access: Used to fetch and update prayer times, verses, Esmaul Husna, and other religious content, as well as to load maps for nearby mosques.
Notifications and Alarms: We use these permissions to send you reminders at prayer times and to trigger full-screen alarms or play the Adhan (Ezan).
Do Not Disturb (DND) / Notification Policy Access: Required to automatically silence your device or adjust volume settings during prayer times or when the Adhan is playing.
Draw Over Other Apps (System Alert Window): This permission allows us to show visual overlays (like the Adhan screen or verse reminders) even when the screen is locked or the app is in the background.
Wake Lock and Foreground Services: Used to keep the app running reliably in the background so you never miss a prayer time.
Our application does not collect or store your personal data on remote servers. All calculations (such as prayer times, Zikirmatik counters) are performed locally on your device. Your location data is used purely for real-time calculations and is never shared, sold, or distributed to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
The app may use third-party services (such as map providers for the nearby mosques feature) to provide its core functionalities. These services have their own privacy policies regarding the data they may collect (like your IP address).
We only use the permissions you grant us to fulfill the application's stated functionalities. Keeping your data safe and localized on your device is our priority.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the new Privacy Policy.
