Zero Tracking: We do not collect, monitor, or upload any of your local music, videos, or photos to our servers or any third parties.
Offline First: The core functionality of Musify Player works completely offline. You can enjoy your entire local media library without ever needing an internet connection.
No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the player. Our Google Sign-In feature is 100% optional and only used if you decide to back up your playlists.
Secure Backups: If you do choose to use our cloud backup feature, it connects directly to your personal Google Drive via secure, encrypted protocols. Your backup data never passes through or gets stored on our servers.
Permissions Transparency: We only ask for the permissions we absolutely need to make the app work (like Storage access to scan your media).
Full Control: Your files stay on your device, and you maintain complete, unrestricted control over your data at all times.
User Permission:
Musify Player only requests permissions that are strictly necessary to provide you with the best media experience. We are completely transparent about what we need and why:
Storage (Read/Write Media): Essential for the app to scan your device for local music and video files, organize them into a library, and allow you to delete or modify files directly.
Network & Wi-Fi Access: Required to connect to Google Drive for cloud backups, fetch ad banners, and use Wi-Fi Direct features. We do not use the internet to upload your local media files.
Nearby Devices (Wi-Fi Direct): Required on modern Android devices (Android 13+) specifically to allow you to discover nearby devices for our Party Sync feature, letting you share and sync media playback over a local network.
Microphone (Record Audio): Required strictly to power the app’s Audio Visualizer and Dynamic Equalizer features. We do not record your voice, listen to your surroundings, or upload any audio.
Location: Required by older Android versions strictly for Nearby Device Discovery (Wi-Fi Direct) so you can cast or share media. We do not track your physical location or share it.
Notifications: Allows the app to keep your music playing seamlessly in the background and provides quick playback controls in your notification tray.
Display Over Other Apps: Required exclusively for our Floating Video Player, allowing you to watch videos in a pop-up window while using other apps.

Usage: To support the development of the App, we use third-party advertising services (e.g., Google AdMob).

LRCLIB / Lyrics API: We utilize a third-party Lyrics API to fetch and display synchronized lyrics for your music. When fetching lyrics, the API may receive basic metadata about the song currently playing (such as artist and track name) to find the correct lyrics.

Musify Player is committed to protecting the privacy of children. Our App is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13.
No Data Collection: We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.
Ad Network Compliance: Since we use third-party advertising (Google AdMob), we configure our ad requests to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by ensuring ads served to users known to be under 13 are not personalized.
