MusicApp Support
Last updated: August 24, 2026
MusicApp is a free iOS music player that streams publicly available catalog content from Audius using the official Audius REST API. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no account is required inside the app.
This page is the official support contact for MusicApp. Use it for app issues, general feedback, and feature requests.
1. How to contact us
Email (preferred): musicapp.audius.support@gmail.com
Support page: https://sites.google.com/view/musicapp-contact
In the app: Settings → Contact
We read every message. Please email us directly so we can reply with a written record of your request.
2. What to include
To help us investigate quickly, please include:
• App name: MusicApp
• App version and build (Settings → About)
• Device model (for example, iPhone 15)
• iOS version (Settings → General → About)
• Where the issue happened (Home, Search, Now Playing, Library, Settings)
• What you expected, and what happened instead
• Approximate date and time
• Whether you were on Wi-Fi or cellular
• Screenshots or a short screen recording, if useful
Do not send passwords, API secrets, or other people’s personal information.
3. What we can help with
• App crashes, playback controls, search, library, and Settings
• Mini player, Now Playing, Lock Screen, and Control Center controls
• Favorites, recently played, local playlists, and on-device data
• Source & License display, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Use links
• Accessibility feedback (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion)
• Feature requests for MusicApp itself
We cannot change Audius catalog availability, artist accounts, track licenses, or Audius service outages. Those are controlled by Audius and its creators.
4. Common questions
The Home screen is empty or will not load
Check that the device is online. Pull to refresh on Home. If the problem continues, open Settings → Clear… and clear API cache and artwork cache, then reopen the app.
Search does not return results
Type at least 2 characters. Switch between Tracks, Artists, and Playlists. Search uses the Audius catalog, so results depend on what Audius returns.
A track will not play
Confirm the network connection. Try another track. If only one title fails, the stream may be unavailable from Audius. If every track fails, clear API cache in Settings and try again.
Lock Screen or Control Center controls are missing
MusicApp uses Background Audio. Start playback first, then lock the device or open Control Center. If iOS Focus or Silent mode is on, sound may still be paused by system settings.
Where are my favorites and playlists stored?
Favorites, recently played, recent searches, and local playlists stay on your device. They are not uploaded to a MusicApp server. Uninstalling the app removes that local data.
How do I delete local data?
Settings → Clear… You can clear recent searches, recently played, favorites, local playlists, artwork cache, and API cache.
Is there an account, subscription, or ads?
No. This version does not require an in-app account, does not show ads, and does not offer in-app purchases.
Where does the music come from?
Catalog audio, artwork, and metadata come from Audius through the official Audius REST API (api.audius.co and Audius content-delivery hosts). MusicApp does not use YouTube, does not scrape websites, and does not extract audio from other services.
How do I see a track’s source or license?
Play or select a track, then open Settings → Audius Source & License. The app shows license and source fields only when Audius provides them. Missing values are not invented.

5. Content, copyright, and licensing
MusicApp does not host the music catalog. Audio and metadata are provided by Audius and its creators.
If you are a rights holder and believe content available through Audius infringes your rights, please use Audius’s own reporting process and legal contacts. You may also email us at musicapp.audius.support@gmail.com with the Audius permalink and a description of the issue. We can review the app’s behavior; we cannot remove a track from the Audius network.
MusicApp is an independent client. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Audius, Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, or Google.
