Frescoes on the apse of the church of Santa Marina

The 17th-century plaster have partially preserved the Byzantine frescoes. Here, an Eastern Church Father with his own vestments and blessing with his right hand according to the Byzantine rite: his ring-finger is bent and touches his thumb, forming a circle, symbol of the Divine Unity; the other three fingers are straight, symbol of the Trinity.
