Piazza del Popolo (Eastern side)

The Palace, two churches and the column. Four majestic buildings looking at each other in a single airy space, that is Piazza del Popolo, “the most beautiful square in Salento”, is kind of a cozy room, maybe the most relevant inheritance left by Muro’s Princes. Along the eastern side you can also see the Basurtos' noble palace, built in the 17th century, which is now private property.
