On November 13, the Murray State University PRSSA chapter hosted a dynamic Internship Panel, welcoming five professionals who shared valuable insights into their internship programs and what employers look for when selecting interns.
Panelists included Amy Turner with the Fort Knox Internship, Paige Kindle with the CFSB Internship, Nathan Carter representing internship opportunities at Hope Calloway, Brittany Kenner with Murray CEV, and Elizabeth Davis with the Murray State Alumni Association. Each guest brought a unique perspective from their respective fields, giving students a well-rounded understanding of opportunities across military, banking, nonprofit, higher education, and community engagement sectors.
Members enjoyed an engaging conversation and an in-depth Q&A session, where professionals shared candid advice about the application process, workplace expectations, and the qualities they value in successful interns. The discussion offered students a clearer understanding of how to stand out and make a meaningful impression during their internship search.
The PRSSA chapter left the event feeling inspired and better equipped to take their next steps, with many members noting that the experience broadened their view of the professional world and strengthened their confidence moving forward.
