Murray MakerSpace
Welcome Murray Maker!
What is a MakerSpace?
mak·er·space ˈmākərˌspās/ noun
A place in which people with shared interests, especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.
Why does our library have a MakerSpace?
Murray Avenue Library supports project-based learning. We have a MakerSpace to provide resources for projects that go beyond research. You can use our Green Screen and iPads to record a video with any backdrop you can imagine. Our 3D printers and laser cutter can be used to fabricate props and prototypes. Sewing machines can be used for costuming, and the Cricut can cut designs for t-shirts or posters.
A MakerSpace is made up of tools, technology, collaborations and creative energy. Our MakerSpace is always changing to match our students' needs, and we would love your input! If you know of a new and exciting technology that you'd like to learn more about, or a project that you want to develop but don't know where to begin, speak with Ms.Grosso in the library.
