MURRAY, KY – The Murray State University Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) proudly honors and celebrates two exceptional graduating seniors—Ellie Krouse and Madison Harrigan—whose leadership, dedication, and passion have made a lasting impact on the chapter and the broader campus community.
Ellie Krouse, a Public Relations major with minors in Marketing and Chinese Studies, served as the 2024–2025 Chapter President. A natural leader and tireless contributor, Ellie played a pivotal role in organizing the highly successful 2025 East Central District Conference, helping to shape its vision and execution. Beyond PRSSA, she served as Publications Chair for Murray State’s Student Government Association (SGA) and was instrumental in managing SGA electoral campaigns for both the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Since 2023, Ellie has also interned with the Murray State Alumni Association, where she further sharpened her skills in communications and alumni engagement.
“It has been a true honor to serve as the chapter president this past year,” Ellie states. "I have absolutely loved taking on the responsibility and have learned how to be a leader while staying true to myself and bringing the best to Murray State's PRSSA chapter. I can't wait to see what the next group of leaders brings!"
Madison Harrigan, a Public Relations major with a minor in Marketing, served as the chapter’s 2024–2025 Public Relations Director. Madison’s commitment to PRSSA was evident through her role as Director of Community Outreach for the district conference, where she helped strengthen community and campus partnerships. In addition to her PRSSA contributions, Madison worked in the university’s Branding, Marketing, and Communication Department. Her passion for sports and communication is leading her to pursue a Master’s degree in Sports Administration following graduation.
“PRSSA gave me hands on experience outside of the classroom with others who were also motivated to achieve more,” Madison says, "Through PRSSA, I was able to develop my professionalism and gain new perspectives through new connections."
The Murray State PRSSA Chapter wishes Ellie and Madison continued success and fulfillment as they embark on the next exciting chapters of their careers and education.
