Internship Powerpoint Night

PRSSA started the semester off by hosting our annual Internship PowerPoint night. All club members were invited to share their summer experiences with each of their internships. The night was filled with all kinds of great information.

We heard from chapter President, Ellie Krouse, and learned about her time spent with the Marketing department at CFSB. This internship is available for PR and Marketing students each semester, and it provides opportunities to use the skills learned through coursework from classes.

Another great internship that was discussed was with the non-profit organization United Way. Madison Harrigan, the Public Relations Director, discussed many new things she learned during her time with this organization. She said that one of her favorite things about the internship was the networking opportunities she was able to have.

Hannah Choate, Treasurer, interned with Healing Covenant Church. She was able to learn a lot about how she worked the best. She said one of the best lessons she learned from this experience was the importance of timing social media posts.

Attendees also learned about the Fort Knox internship from a presentation sent by Ania Boutin and Korey Knight. They were able to experience quite a bit of action with this internship. They were able to take part in a lot of the same activities as the Army cadets. This unique internship is available every summer for students.
