As apart of my Unity Beginner's Course with SkillsCity, we were given the awesome oppurtunity to work closely with a client on a game project for 'BellyBugs'.
As apart of the Game Artist team, we were tasked to create 2D Assests for the new shooter game we are now developing as a group for the 'BellyBugs' franchise. We were tasked to make fruit/vegetable shooters, concept sketches for backgrounds, and more!
This artwork correlates with a concept I made for an Idea I had, based on the survival horror-game 'Identity V' by Netease. One of my newer favourite character's in the game is named 'Alice DeRoss' a Journalist. Many characters in-game have a handful of customary and imaginatively designed skins/costumes. I took inspiration from this and decided to make my own concept design for Alice's character. (Software's used: Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint)
(Identity V Fanart) - 'Princess of the Sea'
This artwork was made in photoshop, with the pencil and oil paint brush tools, using and editing the original character design of 'Alice DeRoss (Journalist)' from in game screenshots as the base, as well as another character 'Naiad (Million Dollar Mermaid Costume)' as reference for the mermaid pose and form.
(Used Gouache Brush)
(Used Watercolour Brush)
These are some conceptual sketches and designs I made for the 'Princess of the Sea' concept - this is meant to be a layout of the Island she lives on, and a sketch and design of her little home up in the tree's. (Used Photoshop, then transitioned to using Clip Studio Paint to design the layout of the interior of the little island home.)
Princess of the Sea - ICON Design's
This artwork was made in photoshop, with the pencil and oil paint brush tools. The game has in-game designed icons of varying themes for profule pictures for your account in-game. From this, I was inspired to make my own little profile pictures based on the 'Princess of the Sea' and 'Crystal Beauty' character designs I made, so I made some conceptual work for that, including some small icon sized underwater fantasy backgrounds for the mermaid icons (as shown above).
(Conceptual sketches)
I roughly sketched up idea's for the icons as you can see here. I sketched using Photoshop and a handful of pencil brush tools.
A University project from my second year. I created a concept based on a young enthusiastic scientist who is abandoned by her crew on an foreign planet. She meets a civilised family of Blob's which take in her, and in doing so show her their world.
A personal project I worked on and visualised a handful of idea's, concepts, and the layout of narrative for. I took inspiration from an Anime film - 'Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime' (BELLE - 2020). I drew a handful of conceptual artworks to bring my visions for the story to life.
(A Personal Project) - Another personal project I conceptualised, I drew up rough character designs, and then found time to flesh them out more clearly. I used Photoshop to illustrate and I used the pencil and oil paint brush tools to create depth and colours in the digital pieces.
Synopsis - I originally drafted up the characters when I was a young teenager. The story starts with our four main characters, Mirriam, Mustafa, Noah, and Gisella. There is a Demon King who took powers into his own hands and created an alternate version of the world we live in, where he can do what he wants. All for fun and torturous games. Random people are taken advantage of when they are most vulnerable/in agony. These four character being victims in his game. But all character's involved are not only taken, but they also come from different time periods and ages. I updated the designs and digitally drew out some concepts for the characters.
some concept art I made for a fun, little idea's that came to mind and I conceptualised.
The Colour Project - (40 second Animation)
A Coursework based project I did with my teammate at University. The project was simply to use colours that we were given at random to us, to then make a small segment of animation from. Our colour scheme was Coral, Hazel, and Turquoise. We made our little film based around a lost teddy bear who is trying to survive the dangerous wilderness around him! I did the wilderness/jungle backgrounds for our project, here are the background illustrations I did! (This artwork was made in photoshop, with the pencil and oil paint brush tools)
Mr Blob in - 'Ancient Ruined' (Backgrounds)
Coursework based project. These are some backgrounds I drew for my graduation film! All the backgrounds were hand drawn, scanned, and then digitally coloured in photoshop. I then later used some of these backgrounds with After Effects, to create background movement for shots in my film.
