New service launched to accommodate for the new development in Kirkhall
Following the announcement for the start of the Kirkhall Redevelopment Scheme, Muirside is finally unveiling it's new Service 62 from Kirkhall Sainsbury's to Torrasay Tesco.
Originally a 'replacement' service for the supermarket services which were withdrawn due to a lack of council funds, this service along with the recently extended Service 64 and the new Terrarail line bring links to a fast-developing little area.
Kirkhall is planned to be given two major housing estates, the following being the Main Road Estate; smaller buildings along the main road located nearer Rose and the East and the Northern Estate; modern three-story buildings along smaller roads further north, closer to Gillsmead, the west and the new Sainsbury's.
Despa, our Managing Director said; "This is perfect timing for our Service 62 with the announcement of the new estates in Kirkhall, we plan with our 64 to bring strong links to the newly developed area. We will do this alongside our partner rail operator Terrarail as they have recently opened a new rail line between Gillsmead and Lellywell with some trains also serving the new planned estate just west of Kirkhall. We are honoured to play a part in the opening of the new housing estate!"
Our new Service 62 will begin operations from the 23rd of February.
