Dr. Muhammad Raiees Amjad is an academician with a robust 13-year journey in the field of Petroleum Geosciences. Presently serving as an Assistant Professor at Bahria University's esteemed Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences in Islamabad, Pakistan. A highly motivated professional having research experience in pivotal areas of Petroleum Geosciences, including pore pressure prediction, petrophysics, seismic inversion, neural network analysis, and the application of shallow geophysical electrical resistivity methods.

Doctoral Research

Focused on precise pore pressure predictions in active foreland basins, Dr. Amjad’s Doctoral Research is a sophisticated amalgamation of geostatistical multiattribute analysis and Deep Feedforward Neural Network techniques. This innovative approach allows for the precise prediction of two-dimensional pore pressure sections in compressional tectonic basins. 

Software Proficiency

An adept user of cutting-edge geoscience software programs, Dr. Amjad is professionally trained and experienced in geoscience platforms such as PowerLog, GVERSE, Geolog, Hampson Russell, Petrel and BasinMod.
