Associate Professor of Computer Science Northwestern Polytechnical University
Dr. Muhammad Umar Farooq Qaisar is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science, Northwestern Polytechnical University. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2022 and 2017, respectively, and his B.S. degree from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, in 2012. He previously held a postdoctoral research position at the School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), from 2022 to 2024. Dr. Qaisar's research interests encompass a broad range of wireless communication and network systems, with a focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Networks (WRSNs), Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), Software Defined Networking (SDN), and Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC). His work is dedicated to improving the efficiency, reliability, and security of these technologies in modern communication systems.
He has served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for international academic conferences such as IEEE ICCCAS, MCSoC, and ICLT, and as a reviewer for internationally renowned journals, including IEEE TMC, TCE, IoT, IoT Magazine, JNCA, JISA, and others.
