Originally from Istanbul, I relocated to Berlin in 2016 to pursue a Master’s degree in Economics, marking the start of my academic career at Humboldt University. Driven by a passion for research, I joined the Berlin School of Economics (BSoE) for my Ph.D., which was a transformative step in defining my career path. I am now a postdoctoral researcher at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH), where I continue to deepen my dedication to behavioral research, experimental design, and data analysis, particularly around gender constructs.
Over the years, Berlin has been more than an academic base - it’s been where I discovered my enthusiasm for exploring societal constructs, social dilemmas, and gender identity.
A curious and proud nerd, I’m drawn to ideas that help make sense of how we became who we are. I particularly enjoy reading Jung and reflecting on the psychological foundations of social structures such as patriarchy. Beyond academia, I enjoy being outdoors with my dog, Yuki, and have an interest in documentary filmmaking.
