Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are

gathered together in my name, there am I

in the midst of them.

Many people recognize the name Corrie ten Boom. Her family were Dutch watchmakers and, more importantly, devoted followers of Christ. When Jews began showing up at the door of their family home asking for help, the ten Booms did not know how their shop would be used by God to protect and provide refuge for those hated by the Nazis. Corrie's father was known as a devoted Christian, and their shop gave them connections that ultimately allowed them to participate in rescuing and protecting countless lives. The ten Boom family was positioned for just such a time. When Esther was placed in the role of queen, she did not know what the future held. I wonder how often that is true for each of us. We might see our current role as mundane or run-of-the-mill, and yet in God's eyes, He has placed us exactly where we are for such a time as this (Esther 4:12-14).

A Prayer for Healing

Our Country

Ronald Reagan

To preserve our blessed land we must look to God.... It is time to realize that we need God more than He needs us.... We also have His promise that we could take to heart with regard to our country, that "If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." Let us, young and old, as did the First Continental Congress, in the first step, in humble heartfelt prayer. Let us do so for the love of God and His great goodness, in search of His guidance and the grace of repentance, in seeking His blessings, His peace, and the resting of His kind and holy hands on ourselves, our nation, our friends in the defense of freedom, and all mankind, now and always. The time has come to turn to God and reassert our trust in Him for the healing of America... Our country is in need of and ready for a spiritual renewal. Today, we utter no prayer more fervently than the ancient prayer for the peace on Earth. If I had a prayer for you today, among those that have all been uttered, it is that one we're so familiar with: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace...." And God bless you all.

From Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist Church to all of our readers who read our posts:

We encourage you to think about what Jesus went through to sacrifice His life for our lives and our Salvation, so that we could be saved and have an everlasting life. God loves us all today!
