When and where

The 2024 Winter edition of the Midwest Topology Seminar will take place at Loyola University Chicago 

(Lake Shore Campus) on March 16-17, 2024.

All talks will be at the Life Science Building LSB 142. (1050 W. Sheridan Rd.)

Registration and coffee breaks will be at LSB 142

Speakers

There will also be a session of contributed talks. If you would like to contribute a short talk, please register and indicate your title and abstract in the registration form by February 28.

The registration form allows you to suggest a contributed talk (by February 28).

Funding:

The Midwest Topology Seminar is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation, which provides limited support for students and junior faculty to offset the cost of attendance. Everyone in need of support should apply by filling out the registration form and indicating their interest in financial support by February 28, 2024 (we appreciate early applications). Funding decisions will be made shortly thereafter.

Conference dinner:

There will be a conference dinner on Saturday at 6:30 pm. This will be at Beard and Belly (6157 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60660)

Local information

Lodging

Rooms are available close to campus at the Hampton Inn Chicago North-Loyola Station (1209 W Albion Ave, Chicago, IL 60626) and at the Super 8 by Wyndham (7300 N Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60626). Other recommended hotels in Evanston are the Hilton Orrington/Evanston (1710 Orrington Ave) and the Holiday Inn Chicago North-Evanston. There are of course other hotels in Chicago and Evanston that you can choose from. 

Food and dining

There are plenty of good lunch options close to Loyola.
