Wars of Religion: From the Crusades to 9/11 (HIST4323) is a captivating course that delves into the complex dynamics of religious violence and conflicts spanning centuries. As an instructional designer, I played a key role in shaping this educational experience. Leveraging my expertise in instructional design, I ensured that the course content was presented in an engaging and effective manner. With my skills in graphic design, I created visually appealing materials that enhanced the learning experience. Additionally, I utilized video and audio editing techniques to produce high-quality multimedia resources. Managing an accelerated timeline and project schedule, I collaborated with a team consisting of a supporting instructional designer and two colleagues from the media team. I conducted extensive research, sourced and curated hundreds of open access images from museum collections for unrestricted use in the course. To enhance interactivity, I implemented H5P interactive timelines for each lesson and developed note-taking guides. Moreover, I created special feature document analysis videos that taught students how to read and understand primary sources, incorporating instructor notations and audio overlay. The course was introduced and concluded with captivating storytelling videos that I created and edited, incorporating faculty audio overlay.
