Mobile Task Force: Nu-7 'Hammer Down'
Operation: "Outback"
Status: ENDED
Started: 10/4/2024
Ended: 10/6/2024
"Good evening Nu-7.
The purpose of this document is to provide a recap and information based on Operation "Outback". For those of you that don't know this operation took place in Australia where our goal was to defeat the Chaos Insurgency forces stationed there. Hopefully this will be a sufficient recap of the events for those who where not there.
Day One: On the first day we had several objectives to complete in order to gain a foothold in the area. These objectives included: Hack CI Servers, Obtaining Physical Files, Capturing a CI and Capture a Base to the east and one to the south. Our forces for day one and overall the three days included medics, operatives, XI-8 operatives, Officers, Command, Anti-Tank, Marksmen, Explosive and a Force Commander. Along with that we had two tank and an anti tank vehicle. Fairly quickly we captured a CI, got the documents and hacked the servers. The last hurdles was holding both bases, while the East base was sieged by CI for most of the time the south base only had to deal with the occasional CI, as such we only had eight-ten foundation put there. In the end both bases were held and we fully acomplished our objectives for day one.
Images of day one:
Day Two: Our objective day two was to kill as much CI as possible. We ended up mainly holding a small village and moving between there and CIs base. Killing and defeating the CI however was easier said then done as they had thaumaturgist on there side that specialized in freezing people in place and shattering them like ice. In the end we only barely managed to push CI back enough to continue for the third day of the operation.
Day Three: Our objective for the final day of the operation was to take CI cell Scorch. We entered the area and cleared the surface fairly quickly of their defenses before pushing down and taking control of majority of the CI cell. To sum it up, in the first fifteen minutes we push CI to their last line of defenses. In order to break though the hallway they were holding we had to push down a set of elevators right into their line of fire. Eventually with enough effort we pushed CI out of the hallway back to their command area, the last possible place they could hold. We continued trying to get in and kill them all, then fully getting in a couple times however they were able to push us out again unfortunately. Eventually sirens started blaring and it was announced that the CI were launching a ICBM, finding out later it was towards Site-19. We soon go to our last push and held out for quite some time under constant fire from the CI. Eventually though it failed and the missile launched, ending day three of the operation and the operation entirely.
Results: Do not be discouraged however as we hit CI hard enough that they felt their only option was a missile, that was how backed into a corner they were. Additionally the missile was intercepted over the Alaskan area and never reached its target. Overall we will learn from our mistakes and hit them twice as hard next time, keep up the good work everyone. - 'Onslaught'
