Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur

 presents

1st  Mechanical Sciences Young Investigators Meet

8 - 10 March 2024

A three-day summit of talks from academia and industry, and open discussions

The goal of this unique event is to bring together early-career researchers working in the field of Mechanical Sciences across India. The event is a first of its kind and should provide a platform to meet, present, discuss, and initiate future collaborations. The topics span solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, robotics, and manufacturing.

Message from Head, ME

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, I welcome you to the Mechanical Sciences Young Investigators Meet (MSYIM 2024).

This is the first symposium where young  Mechanical Engineering researchers in India are gathering to present new ideas and chalk out future directions.  The symposium comprises dedicated sessions from various fields in Mechanical Engineering. We also plan to make this an annual event and have focus areas in future meetings.

During your stay at IIT Kanpur, I strongly encourage you to visit various laboratories in our department and the institute.  We hope the sessions and meetings will foster new ideas and forge new collaborations. I look forward to meeting you all at MSYIM 2024.

Best wishes,

Ashish Dutta, Professor & Head
