Economics student-researchers took part in an academic gathering as they presented their thesis paper, โ๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: ๐ซ๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ผ๐๐?โ, at the 1st International Conference on Social Development and Sustainability and the Philippine Human Ecology Consortium Conference.
Held from November 18โ19, 2025, at the Farmers Training Center, Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon, the conference carried the theme โSocial Development and Sustainability for Human-Ecological Well-being.โ It convened scholars, practitioners, and students dedicated to shaping sustainable and socially responsive communities. Organized by UP Los Baรฑos Department of Social Development Studies in partnership with Central Mindanao University and the Philippine Human Ecology Consortium, the conference provided a platform for sharing research, best practices, and innovative solutions that advance sustainable and resilient communities.
The teamโs research explored the effectiveness of government regulations in reducing tobacco useโan important contribution to public health discourse and evidence-based policymaking. Their participation demonstrated not only academic rigor but also their commitment to addressing pressing socio-economic issues.
