Sarip together with Bai Zshallanor Abo, Zenaida Silongan, Bayra Abdul, Nahid Gunda, and Asnia Barazar, has been awarded โฑ30,000.00 in seed grant funding for implementation.
This recognition comes as part of the Power with YOUth: 2025 Champions for Peace Training on Resilience and Social Cohesion, organized by KRIS in Zamboanga City. The program gathered 100 youth leaders from across the Philippines to design initiatives for peace and resilience, with only five projects nationwide later selected for fundingโincluding Project REDO.
Serving as Project Lead and proposal author, Ms. Sarip exemplifies the caliber of JES members who combine academic discipline with social responsibility. Her leadership demonstrates how the principles of economicsโstrategic planning, efficient resource use, and evidence-based problem-solvingโcan be applied beyond theory to create solutions that directly serve communities.
This accomplishment affirms the versatility of economics as a discipline and highlights the ability of young economists to contribute to peacebuilding, resilience, and national development. JES proudly celebrates this recognition as an inspiration for its members to pursue excellence both within and beyond the academic sphere.
