Across three dynamic days of learning and discovery, from January 28 to 30, 2026, the Young Banatao Learning Lab (YBLL) turned the FactSet Building, Taguig City into a vibrant space of ideas, collaboration, and discovery. Designed as an onboarding and design thinking activity, YBLL welcomed students into an environment that mirrors the fast-paced, solution-driven world of today's workplace. It was more than an event; it was a firsthand experience of what it means to think, create, and lead with purpose.
At the heart of the program was a mission to equip participants with workplace-ready skills that go beyond textbooks. Through interactive workshops, team collaboration, and guided mentoring, students practiced the principles of design thinking by empathizing with real-world problems, defining challenges, brainstorming innovative solutions, and confidently pitching their ideas. Each session strengthened not only their technical knowledge but also their communication, adaptability, and teamwork, which are essential qualities for future professionals.
Representing with enthusiasm and determination were Hyacinth Elily Rose Abiol, Andera May Avila, Louie Ayade, Abdul Mojib Ditaculan, Hannan Dimacaling, and Jessa Mae Monera, proud Economics students of MSU-IIT. Throughout the activity, they embraced every challenge with curiosity and courage, turning insights into meaningful concepts aimed at addressing real-life concerns.
The Young Banatao Learning Lab proved that when young minds are empowered with the right tools and guidance, they can find solutions that create meaningful impact in the real world.
