Hello friends! So happy to have you here! My name Is Taína (pronounced like hyena but with a T) and I am honored to be serving as your College Adviser! 

A bit about me, I graduated from First Flight High School and graduated with an Associate's Degree through COA. I went on to attend the University of Virginia as a proud Questbridge Scholar. 

In my time at UVA I was involved in student activism, research, secret societies, I volunteered with the admission office and everything in between! 

I graduated from the University of Virginia with highest distinction and a double major in Global Studies Security & Justice, Women Gender & Sexuality Studies and a Sociology minor. 

After graduating I worked for the Admission Office at UVA. Despite attending and working for UVA, I credit UNC with helping me discover my passion for college access as a participant some wonderful programs such as Splash, North Carolina Renaissance, Project Uplift and Project Uplift Plus. 

The most important thing I want y'all to know about me is that I have the experience, desire and passion to help you achieve all your post high school plans and dreams! I am so excited to meet and work with y'all!
