Mine was doing this as well but i found in settings that the cloud had new terms and conditions that i needed to accept. As soon as i did that messenger could access the cloud and all the photos were visable again. Didnt need to reinstall anything and didnt lose any messages. Hope this helps others as well.

I went into app store, searched for FB messenger and there was an option to update, so i tapped on that, the little circle went round..... then it offered 'open' so I did, and it's now working. I have closed and reopened it a couple of times, and it's all good.

The recent update (5 days ago) to Facebook messenger, no longer lets you Landscape mode conversations. I need to do this for work on my Iphone. All previous editions allow this. I don't think there is a way I can go back to older version of this app, it won't let me.

Thanks for your opinion, it helped me to calmed down about this kind of issue. I hope this issue will resolve when I go to the apple technician.

Yes the vertical lines still appear on my 3rd party apps. But remember when you open the camera itself of your iphone, you must not see those lines. Only on the 3rd apps like messenger, whatsapp, instagram etc.

Since downloading the Apple iso 17.0 onto my Iphone 11 Pro my Facebook Messenger app won't open. When I try to open the app It just disappears, but shows as an open app, but just with messenger logo in the middle of the screen. Hi, I used to record voice memos and share them on messenger (bec they're usually higher in quality than messenger voice notes) but now when I share them I get an error message saying "Can't Send Message, Check your connection and try again" but my internet is pretty good, I tried sharing other files i.e photos from the photos app "same method" and it works. I tried offloading the voice memos app, reinstalling Messenger, and restarting my iPhone and resetting my network settings and nothing helps.

Hi guys. I have a Samsung Note 3. I'm having an issue which started recently where Facebook Messenger video messages that I send do not have any sound. When I press and hold the video record button in the app and then release the button to replay a recording there is a slight click sound and then total silence throughout the video. Oh my dad that the camera works perfectly in the phone and all videos work as they should. I've done absolutely everything I can think of including uninstalling both Facebook and the messenger app, reinstalling, clearing cache for the apps, clearing cache for the phone, wiping your phone to factory settings and reinstalling everything and a few others to no avail. Any ideas you may have would be greatly appreciated as I'm totally fed up with this issue. TIA
