Hey, I have recently build a rig with MSI B450 Tomahawk. I was really happy to see 5050 RGB headers on the mobo, so decided to connect RGB strips to it, everything works fine except for the fact that the Music Sync just strobes different colors really fast and does not sync with the music. No matter if it is a movie or anything they just strobe.

Tried uninstalling the gaming app and dragon center, then installing standalone mystic light 3 but no help. It does the same thing.

Please help me with this. Thanks :)

Hi I own a X570 Gaming pro carbon mobo. I am trying to get my Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro to work with mystic light as they are compatible. So I did some googling and it said I had to install iCue first then restart my dragon center/mystic light and I have done but and sometimes my ram shows up and sometimes it doesnt However when I try to apply a change it does not take effect when it does appear and if it doesnt appear its just on the default last known light effect from iCue anyone have a solution or steps of how to do it properly?

TL:DR; Out with the old, in with the new, uninstall. Uninstall any existing MSI Center/Dragon Center, Uninstall Razer / Repair it. Install MSI Center from the Microsoft App Store. Download the add-on Mystic light, Open it, All Sync [link] 'on' --> LED Style drop down "Off" --> [razer logo] Game Sync 'on' --> Open Razer, Boom.

Just got my Uni-Fans installed and they look awesome. L-connect works perfectly fine as it is able to control the fan in PWM and RGB can be controlled. However, when I sync L-Connect to MSI Center/MSI Dragon Center it does not detect the fans at all. I would like to note that the fan hub is connected via sata and to the motherboard via USB, Sys Fan, JRainbow1 or 2.

When the whole RGB craze arrived and stirred the PC space, the market saw various manufacturers put out parts and peripherals featuring their own lighting implementations. MSI is one of those manufacturers, and its free RGB configuration utility tool called MSIMystic Light allowed users to customize the lighting on MSI products and other compatible hardware easily. It provides a way for users to personalize their computer setups and truly make them their own.

The MSI Mystic Light software lets users control the lighting of their MSI components, ranging from the B-Series and Z-Series motherboards to the GAMING and VENTUS series of graphics cards. The OPTIX line of gaming monitors and some gaming laptops are also supported. Various peripherals, including the MAG Max line of PC case fans, the MAG CORELIQUID series of liquid CPU coolers, gaming mouse and keyboards, and even LED light strips, can also be configured.

If you are using multiple RGB devices, you can take advantage of a feature called Mystic Light Sync. As the name suggests, it lets you synchronize all of your device lightings into a unified theme or have them light up in tandem with one another. There is also the gaming-centric feature called Ambient Link that lets you synchronize your lighting to some games for a more realistic and immersive gaming experience.

I managed to get the ram, keyboard and fans to show up in iCue with no issue and sync up (SDK disabled). However, I previously had an ASUS Prime Z-370 mobo and that showed up on iCue. Now my MSI Mobo/Lian LI Cooler/Case ( also plugged into an ARGB header) are not displaying in iCue, and in Mystic Light they show up as the RGB header, JRAINBOW1/JRAINBOW2 & JRGB1/JRGB2(currently unconnected).

(MSI) Mystic Light: Seems to be slightly better than RGB Fusion. The Software is functional but still very clunky. I saw in a video from May 2018 that it has a bug where it limits the light modes to the modes of the connected hardware with the fewest options. So if you have connected your keyboard and it can only show "breathing", the software shows only the breathing option for all connected RGB devices.

-Cooler Master seems to be a very good choice for rgb in general I think. Some cases come with an rgb controller already equipped and it seems to work with Aura Sync. So it should be easy to sync the whole system with Aura Sync and the CM Parts. I personally will buy the upcoming C700M case which will come with many things like an built in rgb controller and a riser cable for the gpu.

I see that the issue has been solved, but something to note for others is that different manufacturers will name the ARGB header something different in their lighting software. I notice that you mentioned that you did not see the cooler in Mystic Light. Most of the lighting software out their won't detect it is a cooler that is plugged into the ARGB header; like Asus labels anything plugged into their ARGB header as an "ADD Strip" in Aura. Just something to watch out for.

Just purchased a PowerSpec g439 and all is well except I can't turn off the rainbow RGB. The Windows10 unit came preinstalled with mystic light as a stand alone app and it showed all three RGB headers (if that's the right term) but when I select LED style to 'off' and click apply nothing happens. No error or confirmation and also I can't change it to any other pattern as well. I uninstalled ML and reinstalled via the MSI Center app (Mystic Light plugin) and after rebooting get the same behavior. It sees the 3 headers but I can't control them.

Thanks. I had to crawl under the desk to see inside the case. You are right. The cooler master and radiator fans are responding. Unfortunately the most obnoxious lighting is the case fans. Any suggestions on how to change those.

The AIO and top fans are connected directly to the board. The case fans run through a controller on the back of the chassis. I would set the AIO to a steady or static color, then press the "M" button on the top of the case to toggle the pattern on the controller. Once they match, you're synced with the board and Mystic Light will function normally.

MSI said its "mission is to help any gamer to customize their gaming rig perfectly to their liking with the ease of just a few mouse clicks." Mystic Light Sync is supposed to further that mission by making it easy to manage the RGB lighting of motherboards, graphics cards, DDR4 memory, and mice. Be warned, however, that you'll have to download the separate MSI Gaming App to change the lighting of your case and keyboard to match everything else.

MSI also introduced a new landing page that explains the differences between its RGB lighting managers, displays components from other manufacturers compatible with Mystic Light Sync, and helps you pick the best motherboard for your needs. That last tool is really just a bunch of filters on MSI's lineup--the site asks you for your preferred chipset, form factor, and lighting preferences and then shows you MSI motherboards that fit your criteria. ff782bc1db
