6. I can answer potential interview questions.
Practice writing a cover letter for the following babysitting advertisement.
“We are a busy family with four children aged 11, 9, 7 and 3. We are looking for a fun, energetic, caring, responsible and helpful person to help Mum out from time to time.
This would include looking after children, helping with homework, playing with the children, helping with general light household duties (i.e washing lunchboxes, clearing the bench, helping the children keep their rooms tidy). With four children an extra set of hands from time to time is very helpful.
We also have a wonderful pet dog (small) - so this role also suits someone who loves animals and is confident with dogs.
We look forward to hearing from you.”
Pick one of the two videos to watch about interviewing for a job.
Have a read of the Job Interview Questions, then get into a group of 3 to practice doing an interview. Take turns being the interviewer, interviewee and observer. The observer is the one who will mark the Job Interview Practice in the interviewee's book and provide feedback. Repeat this process until everyone has a chance to be the interviewer, interviewee, and observer.
If you finish early, watch the Edpuzzle and answer its questions: How to Get a Job as a Teenager (How to Apply + Tips for Interviews), catch up on lessons that you missed, or work on the extension tasks.
With the leftover of the last task from Lesson 3, this lesson takes to sessions to complete.
