Introduction

Govt. Medical Store Depot is one of the institution established by the British Rule in 1941. The core component of this institution was to produce the medicine for the provision at government sector hospital, storage for a definite period of time and supplies to the public sector health institution.

In 1993, the production facility was closed and scope of work limited to the receiving and storage of medicine. Now it acts as a central repository for drugs, medical devices and equipment procured by the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, Govt of the Punjab, Directorate General Health Services, Punjab and vertical programs.

Receiving / handling of any recalls of the drugs and non-drugs issued by the competent authority
