Option 3: Complete a Clothing Design with a full-body portrait (Fashion Design)

For this option, you will learn how to draw a person like an Egyptian. Then, using the style, you will create a self-portrait.

Complete the attached Review Worksheet and submit with your drawing. It must be full and complete to earn 1 point extra credit on this assignment.

For this option, you will learn how to draw your name like an Egyptian. Then, using the Heiroglyphs in the lesson, you will create a Cartouche with your name.

Answer the Reflection Questions in a document and turn it in to the dropbox with your Artwork for 1 Point Extra Credit.

The lesson asks:
Can you recall a time when you realized you were bored with the clothing choices in your closet? Perhaps you persuaded your parent or guardian that it was time to take a trip to the store to update your wardrobe. Or maybe you were able to trade with a friend for a few new fashion choices. Boredom with a current trend is one reason artists develop new styles.
You now have a reason as an artist to experiment with a new style and design your own clothes!
Please draw yourself and design yourself in a new outfit to turn in to the dropbox for this lesson.

Each option involves sending in an Artwork. As such, this portfolio will be graded using the Art Portfolio Grading rubric.
When you have completed one of the above options for this portfolio, please submit your completed drawing to the dropbox in the lesson for grading.
If you are unable to submit a digital copy of your artwork, please check with your teacher for an alternative submission option.
