Things you can do to help your 5th grader:

• Check in with them daily about homework, upcoming projects, tests and events.

• Talk with them about what they are reading.

• Practice basic math skills on a weekly basis.

• Sign off in their student planner for reading a minimum of 30 minutes nightly.
