Mrs. Nielsen

Hello everyone and welcome to my teacher page. My name is Mrs. Stacey Nielsen and I am so excited to be your 6th grade Reading teacher. I am originally from California where I taught for 5 years prior to moving out to Arizona. I have both my Bachelors in Liberal Studies, as well as my Elementary Education Credential from Sacramento State University. Since moving to Arizona, I have taught an additional 12 years, 11 of those here at Chaparral. I am proud to say that I helped open the school :) I have a wonderful husband Jamie as well as 3 fantastic kiddos who I adore and love spending time with. Josh is a senior at Higley High school and plays competitive golf. Jalen, his twin brother, attends a special school for students with autism and loves taking long drives with the family. Danika, my youngest, is going into 8th grade and is a competitive gymnast. When I am not at school, or working on lessons, I am definitely involved in all the activities that my children participate in. I love cheering them on and encouraging them to reach for their dreams. As your teacher, I will also encourage and push you to do your best every day. My goal is to motivate you to reach your fullest potential and to foster your love of reading. I look forward to our many discussions about the literature as well as truly getting to know each and every one of you. Here's to a fabulous year ahead!!
