About Me:

My name is Mrs. Mitchell, and I am pleased to be your first grade teacher! This is my 15^th year teaching first grade, and I am very excited! I previously taught second grade for two years at Nettle Creek in Morris, and P.E. for three years at I.C.S. in Morris.

I grew up in Morris, and graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. I received my master’s Degree from the College of St. Francis . I am married to my husband Dan, who is a farmer, north of Seneca. We have two children: Jace (12 years) who is a 7^th grader, and Josie (10 years) who is a 5^th grader at Milton Pope.

This school year will be full of lots of fun and learning! I cannot wait to get this year started, and am looking forward to getting to know all of you. It is going to be an exciting year, and I am so happy that you are in my class.
