Welcome to my class! I am so excited to be your student's teacher this year! I can't wait to get know my students and would like to take this space to share a little bit about myself. I have been teaching for 14 years and have a Master's Degree in Teaching and a Bachelor's in Psychology with an emphasis on child development. My proudest moment in my teaching career was when three very special students nominated me for a Golden Apple. As a result, I have had the privilege of being honored with a News Channel 12 Golden Apple "Teaching in Excellence" award.  This will be my second year with Grovetown Middle and I am looking forward to many more!

Seventh grade is the second year of a two-year World Area Studies course. Seventh grade students study South West Asia (Middle East), South East Asia, and Africa. The goal of this two-year course is to acquaint middle school students with the world in which they live. I believe in hands on approach to the learning of these topics and as such, students should come prepared to engage in several projects throughout the year.
