Good Morning, Bye now most students are engaged in our google and virtual classroom. You may go to your child's google classwork page to monitor their assignments that have or have not been completed. You may also visit PowerSchool for grades, assignments, and assessments. Students were asked to complete all assignments before our return on April 20, 2020. If you any questions feel free to email me or if you would like a virtual conference please let me know.

Assignments have been posted to google classroom. There will be assignments required to complete each day. We will have our first virtual classroom today and each day after. We will meet for 30 minutes each day for any questions that presents itself. Students in grade 6 will have a conference with me at 12: 30 and grade 5 at 1:00pm today. Go to your child's google classroom for daily updates, assignments, instruction and all other details.

March 17, 2020

I created a google classroom today for grades 5 &6. I assigned two assignments. One in Social Studies and Persuasive Writing. The code for 5th grade is "wjwdiws". The code for 6th is" kdtkuy4".

I have noticed that the fifth grade assignments are connecting to the google classroom, but only a few of few of 6th. I am receiving your work from your google.docs which is find for now. We are all able to post to each other which is fantastic. I am correcting the glitching as we go along. I will be able to send your grades thru google classroom.

I have assigned one NEWSELA ARTICLE. I noticed that there are many students who have not completed many NEWSELA ARTICLES. READ ALL PAST ARTICLES FIRST, READ AND COMPLETE THE QUIZZES AND WRITING ASSIGNMENTS THAT CORRELATE WITH THE ARTICLES. I WILL MONITOR ALL ASSIGNMENTS. I AM GRADING THESE ASSIGNMENTS. DO NOT PANIC! TAKE YOUR TIME AND FOCUS.

On Friday, March 13, 2020 each student present received a lesson plan for the week of March 16th thru March 20,2020. This is just a recap of that information and for any students who were not present.

GRADE 6

Reading: Read the next article in your perspective reading book. After you have read the article write your persuasive essay. Use the guidelines in your spiral or refer to page 24 in your book step #3. Pace yourself as we do in the classroom. Please complete last week's persuasive writing essays.

Body Paragraphs: Reason 1: Evidence & Details, Reason 2: Evidence & Details, and Reason 3: Evidence & Details

SOCIAL STUDIES: Chapter 4 Lesson 2 China's Past

Monday: Read pages 106 & 107. Define terminology on page 106 and review questions.

Tuesday: Read pages 108 & 109 and answer review questions.

Wednesday: Read pages 110 & 111 and answer all review questions.

Thursday: Read pages 112 & 113 and complete lesson 2 review questions at the bottom of page 112.

Friday: Read pages 114 & 115 in lesson 3. Define all terminology on page 114 and review questions.

RELIGION: Continue reading the chapter about Lent.

Monday: Finish the activity on page 335 and read pages 336 & 337 , do activity on page 337.

Tuesday: Read pages 338 & 339, do the activity on page 339.

Wednesday: Read pages 340 & 341

Thursday: Read Chapter 6 page 97, do the activity at the bottom.

Friday: Read pages 98 & 99, do the activity on page 99.
