In a formal peer conference, each learner has the opportunity to share personal progress towards a goal, reflect on that progress and receive feedback. This, in turn, can help each learner identify areas of strength and areas in need of improvement.
Peer conferences are most effective in groups of two. When you are ready to complete a peer conference, download and print two copies (one for each partner) of the peer conference form (below).
To stay focused on the academic task at hand, use the peer conference form as a guideline. This should shape and focus your discussion without limiting it. Feel free to extend your conference beyond the limitations of the guideline as long as you remain focused on the academic task.
