Mrs. Fitch's Math

Welcome to an amazing year of math! I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you this year and working together to increase our mathematical understanding and comprehension.

Let's face it... math is not always easy. Occasionally, you will find yourself stumped on a topic, homework, test review, etc. and need some extra assistance. Knowing when and where to turn for help is crucial!

SCHOOL HOURS:

If during school hours, I strongly encourage you to first seek help from me. I am more than willing to make arrangements for us to meet at a mutually agreed-upon time (such as before school, after school, and/or during my prep period).

Some other great opportunities in the school which are available to all students for all math classes are:

  • Morning Math Help with Mr. Fitch in the Commons (available from 7:15-7:45 am Monday through Friday)
  • Math Lab with Mr. Stevens during all lunch periods (room 248).
  • After school Math Lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays (school has not yet set a start time on this).

AFTER SCHOOL HOURS:

When you find yourself struggling at other times, below is a list of some helpful websites.

MEET YOUR TEACHER...

The 2018-2019 school year will mark my 13th year of teaching... all within the Avon Local School district! I look forward to an exciting school year and working with each and every student!

Although born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (yes, I am an avid Steelers fan!), I spent most of my childhood in Ashtabula, Ohio. After high school, I attended Kent State University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Math Education in 2006. Following college, I relocated to the Avon area and began my awesome career as an educator. In 2011, I received my Master's of Education Administration from Ashland University.

I currently live in Avon with my husband, Michael (aka Mr. Fitch - a fellow math teacher at the high school), our 6 year old son, Parker, our 4 year old daughter, Addison, our 2 year old son, Case, and our Saint Bernard, Knight. In my spare time, I love watching/playing sports, spending time with family, and helping out at our family's local farm market.
