Chapter 4
Polite, Selfish & Expressive
Pigeon
Mr Pig
Mrs Pigeon was born and raised in The Green Hills. Her parents were part of a cult that prided themselves on arranging the entirety of their children's lives, in order to please the demon they praised. Because of this, Mrs Pigeon was isolated from other kids and forced to follow the strict rules set by her parents. This made her grow envious against her parents, dreaming of another life where she got to choose her destiny.
When turning adult, Mrs Pigeon was quickly sent to the Northern Fields to marry. After the marriage, she quickly cut contact with family, also promising to never let herself be influenced by the words of someone else and to never join gatherings that encourage hurting others.
Mrs Pigeon was in an arranged wedding with Mr Moose. None of the parties consented to the marriage, but their parents were both in a cult, striving to achieve their life goals by forcing their children to marry. After marrying, Mrs Pigeon and Mr Moose were left to live on their own in the new, unfamiliar place. Mrs Pigeon and Mr Moose were never in love, but quickly became friends. They’d often discuss their confusion around why they never felt attraction to each other, or anyone in that case. It comforted Mrs Pigeon to have someone that was going through the same struggle of not knowing what they wanted thanks to their parents deciding everything for them.
Eventually they decided that the correct way of self-discovering was to start travelling, inspired by her friend Mrs Crow. She started by travelling to the East Feather Town, where she found more folks like herself. She later travelled to the Northern Wheat Fields, where her husband found his true love; Mr Sheep. Mr Moose left to live with Mr Sheep, which was completely fine to Mrs Pigeon. The Norhtern Fields were also the place where Mrs Pigeon met Mr Pig, a passionate farmer. They didn't talk alot, but discovered that they both knew Mrs Crow. When Mrs Pigeon asked Mr Pig how he knew Mrs Crow, he told her of their past relationship, and his many regrets surrounding their break up. After the trip, she took full ownership of her house and returned home.
Mrs Pigeon had lived in The Northern Fields for several years with Mr Moose before Mrs Crow moved in with Mr Crow. Mrs Pigeon, having been raised with a lack of social skills didn’t immediately interact with the couple. It wasn’t until 3 weeks later that Mrs Crow approached Mrs Pigeon to introduce herself. It didn’t take long before the birds became close friends. There were many evenings were both of them sat on the roof, drinking red wine and cheering. Sometimes even Mr Moose and Mr Crow joined in for the fun.
When asked how both birds became such close friends, Mrs Pigeon never has a concrete answer with full proof. However, she believes that Mrs Crow has a hidden talent of reading people like books, having an amazing ability to see through people. She’d never say this to Mrs Crow immediately, but often spreads the word to others.
When Mrs Pigeon found out about Mrs Crows pregnancy, she was naturally excited for her friend. Mrs Pigeon had spoken to Mrs Crow several times, discussing about the baby and how they’ll be raised. It was at one of these meetings that Mrs Crow gave Mrs Pigeon the honors of being the childs godmother. Mrs Pigeon was overjoyed at being given this role, but doubted if she would be capable of raising a child if Mrs Crow and Mr Crow passes.
On the day when Mrs Crow was to give birth, Mrs Pigeon waited patiently at home. The day after, Mrs Crow came home alone. Mrs Pigeon asked Mrs Crow why Mr Crow and the baby wasn’t with her, and Mrs Crow responded by saying that they had disappeared. Mrs Pigeon, with her lack of social skills, didn’t hesitate to state the obvious scenario; Mr Crow had left with the baby. Mrs Crow, destroyed and angry, lashed out at Mrs Pigeon. She ran into her house and locked the door. Mrs Pigeon assumed she’d have to wait a day or two before seeing her again, but she was wrong. 40 years passed, and Mrs Pigeon never saw Mrs Crow. Part of her started to worry if Mrs Crow was dead. She’d occasionally visit to knock, but never got a response. Eventually, she gave up and never visited again. After this, she learnt that it’s best to keep quiet when someone is sad, to not upset them further.
Mrs Crow has just returned from a trip from the Daunted Mountains. On her trip, she met Dr Cow. Dr Cow is a cow who told Mrs Pigeon about her identity and lack of attraction towards others. When Mrs Pigeon heard Dr Cow tell her of this, she felt as if perhaps she was the same. It had always been a question to Mrs Pigeon why she never felt attracted to others, and perhaps this was the answer. They bonded during the short time there, and promised each other to meet in the future.
Having returned from home, Mrs Pigeon saw a letter on her porsche. The letter was from Mr Pig, and detailed about how he had found a wife and happily wanted to meet again. Mrs Pigeon quickly wrote back and sent the letter. She’s now at home, following a set routine and thinking about Dr Cow, when and how she’ll met her again.
