Lakeside High School Mathematics

Our mission is to reach, to engage, and to inspire our greatest potential

I look forward to a great school year. I am truly invested in each student's personal success! I can't wait to get to know my new students and watch them grow and learn over the course of this coming year.

What You Can Expect of Me:

Parents and students can expect that I will deliver quality, standards-based content. I will shape my instructional methods based on students' needs. You can expect that a student's grades will be standards-based and will reflect their level of mastery of the course content. I will provide grades and constructive feedback in a timely manner. Parents can expect that I will communicate their student's progress with them frequently. I am also available to address parents' and students' concerns in these ways:

What I Expect of Students:

You are expected to log into Google Classroom to view assignments and deadlines. I expect that you are responsible enough to be aware of upcoming deadlines and assessment dates, as they are posted and updated frequently on the class calendar. If you miss an assignment or assessment, you are to complete the work within a week. (LFH Students: Assessments require a β€œrequest to test” before they may be taken late.) You will check your grades frequently and address grade concerns in a timely manner. I expect that you will self-advocate, meaning that you will seek additional support, when needed. This also means that you will seek out opportunities to remediate and reassess as evidence that you are putting forth your best effort in the course.

You may access Google Classroom here or through Classlink. Please click here for help with logging into Classlink.

What I Expect of Parents:

I am a firm believer in the sentiment that "it takes a village!" Class assignments are posted in Google Classroom. Students submit their work through Google Classroom. You are expected to have your student log into the platform to show you the course content. In addition, it is expected that you will also review your student's grades frequently in Parent Portal. Click here for more information about accessing Parent Portal. Finally, I expect that parents play a role in their student's educational success by being receptive to my communication efforts regarding student progress in the course. I truly appreciate your support.
