Welcome Redhawks to the 2022-2023 school year!

I am so excited to be your child’s 2nd Grade ELAR/Social Studies teacher. It’s an honor to be apart of the Rennell Elementary educational team. My goal this school year is to develop young minds into avid readers, creative writers, and life-long learners!

This year begins my 10^th year as an educator. I taught Kindergarten for four years, 1^st Grade for three years and 3^rd Grade Language Arts and Social Studies for two years. For the 2021-2022 school year, I enjoyed the Rennell 2nd Grade Team. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from UOP in 2011 and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Sam Houston State University in 2016.

I am originally from Tyler, Texas “the Rose Capital of Texas”. I live in Houston with my wonderful husband and two amazing boys.

I am interested in reading, writing, cooking, watching competitive sports and learning about different cultures. Some of my favorite books includes Enemy Pie by Derek Munson, Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes and Each Kindness by Jacqueline Woodson.
