GYM CLASS

New Teacher Alert!

Hello all! My name is Melanie Hudson. I am brand new to St. Charles and couldn’t be more excited to meet all of the wonderful students and their smiling faces, even if it is behind a mask.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and together we share a 5-year-old male Rhodesian Ridgeback named Kovu who is spoiled and loves to go on hikes.

I grew up playing soccer and lacrosse and went on to play lacrosse in college. I pursued education, then animal behavior, then back to education. I received my Master’s in Early Childhood Education in May 2019 and working towards my certification.

My husband and I love to take our dog out and about, we enjoy time with friends and family, and root on our Philadelphia Eagles!

I recall being in 5th grade and remember that my dream job was to be a P.E. teacher and here I am! I am looking forward to starting this new journey with each and every class here at St. Charles.

With the new restrictions our schools are currently facing, I will update this site to notify parents what activities and skills we are working on during gym class, resources for remote learners, and also all the safety precautions we are taking. There will be hand sanitizing before and after gym classes as the students come and go. For the most part, I will hold gym class outside, weather permitting.

At the top of my site, parents and students can find tabs HOME, SCHEDULE, and Newsletter for learners and as a general update to what we are doing. If you scroll down, resources will be posted and grouped together by PREK3, through Kindergarten, 1st grade & 2nd grade, 3rd through 5th, and 6th grade through 8th grade.

Please check the "Schedule" tab for your child's gym day and please remember to wear gym attire and sneakers.

For any questions or concerns, my email is mhudson@scbpschool.com
