Thanks to Kayson, Rocio, and Angel for continuing to work on math this week! Rocio is in the lead for smiley faces on XtraMath. Can someone else catch her?

I know I will keep using XtraMath and Freckle in my classroom, but you can help me decide if the other sites are worthwhile.

We are half-way through the week!

Rocio and Jastemine have both completed their XtraMath lessons every day this week so far! Keep up the great work! I want to see everyone earn those smiley faces!

I know a few of you have checked out Moby Max. I would love for others to try it and tell me what you think. I have not seen anyone log into Splash Learn. Please try it and send me an email with your thoughts. Your username and login for both of these sites is your first initial followed by your last name. For example, my login would be:

Tomorrow we will be going on our virtual field trip to Old Woman Creek! I will be posting a video tomorrow morning as well as a math assignment designed with the field trip in mind.

The big field trip that we were planning for you this spring was to Old Woman Creek Estuary Reserve. Since we cannot go together, we created a virtual trip so that you can learn about a really cool place.

I have also added a new website called SplashLearn. Click on the button above, then click on your class (Core 1 Students click "Mrs. Furey 1" and Core 2 Students click "Mrs. Furey 2".

If you are prompted for a username or password, it is the same as your Moby Max account (first initial followed by last name).

Rocio and Jastemine continued their daily XtraMath streak! And Connor had the highest number of smiley faces in his practice this week! Practicing every day makes a big difference for your recall of facts! Keep up the great work!

Eight students logged online yesterday. That's the highest participation we've had in several weeks! I'm proud of all of you. I know that working online is very different than working in the classroom. I really miss doing MathUSee with you! But I appreciate how hard you are working at home with your families.

I have added a Freckle backpack assignment on addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Take your time and do your best!

Happy Monday! We had a great week last week and I know you can do it again!

There is a new Freckle backpack assignment. Some of you are rocking it at keeping up! Others have some catching up to do. Try to catch up on any missing assignments this week.

Our XtraMath participation was excellent last week! This week I'm looking for:

-who can earn the most smiley faces

-who can complete their XtraMath lesson the most days in a row, and

-who can move up from one set of facts to another! Show me what you've got!

It's Friday! Woo hoo!

I'm so proud of Angel, Rocio, Jastemine, and Kayson. They have all completed their XtraMath lesson every day this week so far! Daily practice makes such a difference for you!

For Freckle, Dakota and Kayson have completed every one of their backpack assignments! Rocio and Angel have just one each to complete. You are rock stars!

Everyone else can use today as an opportunity to catch up on assignments and math practice. I know you can do it!

I want to congratulate Rocio for mastering the addition facts on XtraMath and moving on to subtraction! Way to go!

Today would be a good day to make sure you are caught up on Freckle backpack assignments. Then you can practice XtraMath, complete fact practice in Freckle, or play some math games in n2y by clicking on L3 Skills.

Happy Friday! We made it through another week and to a new month!

We had great participation in XtraMath this week! Nice work! Let's see who can make the most progress next week!

Many of you have not yet tried Moby Max. I'd like you to please check it out as I am considering adding a new website next week. I would like you to be able to compare Moby Max to the new site so I can decide if I am going to keep one or both.

Does anyone have a favorite game on L3 Skills? If you do, send me an email so I can tell your classmates about your favorite!

Sometime this week, please log into n2y (your username and password are the same as your Google account). Click on the ULS icon (the snowflake) and complete activities 2, 3, and 4. If you finish those, you can spend some time playing math games in L3 Skills. These activities will be available all week.

Don't forget - there are three assignments in the Freckle backpack which some of you need to finish.

There are a total of four Freckle backpack assignments posted. Some of you just have one to complete, and some have more. Remember that if you are caught up on backpack work, you can practice facts or work in one of the other practice areas of Freckle. Keep earning those coins! I miss seeing your Piggy Store purchases!
