This week we will be using illustrations for meaning & fluency. We will continue to learn about characters & make inferences as we listen to new stories. Please ensure you and your child are reading nightly.😊Regular reading helps build strong skills & a love of learning.

This week in Math we will: 

*Solve put together word problems.

*Find addends for a given sum.

*Solve Take from problems.

*Solve compare word problems by finding how many more.

Students will be thinking & acting like a scientist as they use their senses to compare, ask questions & record information.

Students will be recognizing ways citizens can demonstrate patriotism.

This week the students will be writing diary entries. They will be using capitalization, punctuation & finger spacing. They will also use editing marks in their writing. In Grammar the students will be learning about contractions.
