I’m Ashley (Mrs. Davidson to my students), and I’m a classified/non-licensed librarian at a primary school in Indiana. Our school has about 550 kindergarten and 1st grade students. I see each class of about 23 students weekly for 50 minutes. I started this job in 2020 and it has been an incredible experience!
I choose to share some of the resources I’ve made because I know how hard it can be to figure out where to start when planning lessons for young students. I hope that the materials I share here are helpful for you. I’ll update this page each time I add a new resource to Google Drive, so feel free to bookmark this page and check back periodically!
If you have any questions, I invite you to email me at ashleyscripter@gmail.com. :)
Click here to read all about how I genrefied the Fiction section in my K-1 library! (Warning: It's long, and detailed, but hopefully it will make you feel brave enough to tackle this project on your own!) (Hopefully it won't have the opposite effect and scare you off from ever trying it 😆!)
Update! I've added notes from my experience moving my Nonfiction section to bins as well! Check them out!
