Five green men in a silver spaceship – Show 5 fingers

Flew ‘round the moon one day. – Make a fist with the left hand to be the “moon.” Circle the 5 fingers around the fist.

They looked all around, – Look out with hand shading eyes

Didn’t like what they found, – Shake head no

So one of them flew away. – Put hand behind your back and take away 1 finger

Repeat with 4, 3, 2, and 1 finger.

Step 3 - Listen to the Drum - this is number 8 in the lesson.

Listen to the drum in the movie. Follow what the drum does with your feet. Listen carefully for how the drum changes!

With someone at your home, take turns playing a drum - if you don't have a drum, perhaps try using a pot from the kitchen with a wooden spoon or use your imagination to safely make sounds.

While one person plays the drum, the other person follows what they play with their feet.

Try playing fast and slow. Try playing a pattern and repeating it several times. Play the pattern fast and slow. Can you follow the pattern with your feet?
