Choose 5 intersections
Choose a connecting word to connect pairs of ideas

We generated random emojis with the random emoji generator
We wrote them on our hexagon worksheets
fish, bowling / go bowling, skittles, laugh / laughter, cat, ice cream, space invader, sad / sadness
We used the random connection generator to choose five random connections 4, 2, 9, 7, 11
The teacher added criteria were :
- Complex phrases (because, however, nontheless, despite etc)
- In the Past Simple
- At least one adverb or adjective per phrase
