Parents and students, we are thrilled to welcome you to our Grade 7 Farewell event. Please read below for details for the night.
Schedule for Friday, June 20, 2025
- 4:45 Students arrive and go directly to the music room to line up (please do not bring coats, purses, or devices. Leave with parents). Parents arrive at the gym for seating, doors will open at this time.
- 5:00 Farewell ceremony including student speeches and certificate presentations.
- 6:00 Chairs are removed and gym is set up for student dinner & dance.
- 6:20 Dance party begins for students, food & drinks provided.
- 8:00 Parents join for remainder of dance and evening wrap up.
- 8:15 Clean up - All parents & students participate in clean up!
FAQ’s
How many people from my family can I bring? We are asking students to bring 2 guests only to this event as seating is quite limited and we are restricted to the fire code regulations.
What should I wear? Students and families are invited to wear whatever makes them feel great! Some students choose to dress up but there is no pressure to go out and buy a new outfit. It’s a long (and sometimes very warm) night and we want you to feel great and feel comfortable. There will be a dance after the ceremony so sometimes a change of shoes is nice! 😊
If I would like to help with set up the week of, who do I contact? Please reach out to any of the classroom teachers and we will forward your name to the planning committee. Lots of help is needed on Thursday and Friday during the day for decorating!
Should I bring any other food or supplies? The parent planning committee is providing students with dinner, drinks, and some other snacks and treats! It’s recommended students try and eat something before they come in the evening.
Can students bring their phones or devices? We are asking students to enjoy the night and leave their devices with parents when they arrive at 4:45.
