Board ripped to 5in
Trim 1 end of your board to make sure it is straight. Use miter saw.
2. Cut 3 pieces of 1x5 to exactly 10 inches. Best piece will be the top. Use miter saw.
3. Cut 2 sides at 4 7/16 using miter saw
4. Rout both ends of the front and back (rabbet)
5. Rout all 4 sides of the top (rabbet)
6. Carve the top

F. Double check settings in picture below before you carve.
7. Cut 1/4 in grooves (dado) in all sides to accept the bottom. Use 1/4 in bit and router table.
8. Cut a piece of 1/4 MDF for the bottom 4 1/8 x 9 1/8
9. Mark and cut feet on front and 2 sides. Use template to mark. Cut with jig saw.

11. Glue top on. Make sure it is not upside down.
12. Sand joints flush with belt sander.
13. Use router to roundover top edge of box.
14. Have teacher cut the top on the bansaw.
15. Sand and Finish
16. Put hinges on.
