A CNC machine is a computer controlled cutter that cuts metal, wood, plastic and other materials. Above you can see it cutting an electric guitar body. In this class we will be cutting 1/4 in mdf plywood. You will design projects in a software called EASEL and the machine will do the rest. It can make many products quickly and exactly to the plans specifications. Some machines can cut accurately to 6 decimal places. The x carve like above is accurate to 3 decimal places. (thousandths of an inch)
