Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Montry: Expense Tracker
(“the App”), developed and published by MrDevelopments (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information when you use the App.
1. Information Stored on Your Device
The App allows users to create and manage expense records, including amounts, descriptions, categories, dates, notes, and related documents or images.
Expense records and user-generated content are stored locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export, share, back up, or otherwise transfer them.
We do not operate a separate server for storing users’ expense records and we do not directly access the contents of expense records stored on the device.
2. Camera, Photos, and Files
The App may request access to the camera, photos, media, or files so that users can:
- Photograph receipts or documents;
- Select existing images or files;
- Attach documents to expense records;
- Export, save, open, or share reports and files.
These permissions are used only when required for the features selected by the user.
Files and images selected by the user may contain personal or confidential information. Users are responsible for deciding which files or images they add, export, or share.
3. Notifications
The App may request permission to send notifications for reminders and scheduled alerts created or enabled by the user.
Notification permission may be disabled at any time through the device settings.
4. Advertising
The free version of the App may display banner advertisements, interstitial advertisements, and rewarded advertisements through Google AdMob.
Google and its advertising partners may collect or process information such as:
- Advertising identifiers;
- Device information;
- IP address;
- Approximate location derived from the IP address;
- Advertisement interactions;
- Diagnostic and performance information.
This information may be used to deliver, measure, limit, and improve advertisements, including personalized or non-personalized advertisements where permitted.
Google’s handling of information is governed by Google’s own privacy policies and advertising policies.
5. Consent for Advertising
Where required by applicable law, users may be shown a consent message relating to advertising, device storage, advertising identifiers, and the use of personal data.
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other regulated regions may be offered controls regarding personalized advertising and data processing.
Consent choices may be changed through any privacy options made available within the App or through the device and Google advertising settings.
6. Premium Features and Purchases
The App may offer subscriptions, lifetime purchases, premium features, or temporary premium access.
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We do not directly receive or store the user’s full payment card or banking information.
Google Play may process purchase history, transaction identifiers, account information, and related payment information according to Google’s own privacy policies.
7. Exporting and Sharing Data
The App may allow users to export or share expense information in formats such as PDF, spreadsheet, image, or other supported file types.
When a user chooses to share or export information, the selected data may be transferred to another application, storage service, person, or device chosen by the user.
We are not responsible for how third-party applications or recipients handle information that the user chooses to export or share.
8. Data Retention and Deletion
Expense records and attached files stored locally remain on the device until the user deletes them, clears the App’s data, or uninstalls the App.
Users can delete individual expense records and associated content through the App where the relevant feature is available.
Advertising, purchase, diagnostic, and technical information processed by Google or other service providers may be retained according to their own policies and legal obligations.
9. Third-Party Services
The App may use third-party services, including:
- Google AdMob;
- Google Play Services;
- Google Play Billing;
- Flutter and related software libraries.
These third parties may process information independently under their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through our own servers.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information in connection with the App, please contact us.
11. Security
We take reasonable steps to design the App in a manner that protects locally stored information. However, no device, storage system, transmission method, or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users should protect their devices with appropriate passwords, screen locks, backups, and security settings.
12. International Users
The App may be used in different countries. Advertising and third-party service providers may process information in countries other than the user’s country of residence, subject to their own privacy practices and applicable legal safeguards.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
