There are multitudes of organizations dedicated to improving life on Earth, from broad goals like education, to specific goals, like rescuing wildlife in a particular country. For the purposes of global education, these websites are invaluable connections to the resources the organizations provide.

EF Tours
I have been involved with EF Tours since 2013, taking students to other countries in structured, safe tour groups. This educational experience is life-changing for so many of the students involved that I can't not recommend it (or a similar organization).
